The following information explains the process of USASportsRankings.com voting.
The primary goal of the voting to USASportsrankings.com is to provide
the coaches of teams around the country the opportunity to have their
opinions heard of who are the best teams in the state and around the
country.
1. Voting is done by the actual coaches and tournament directors of the site.
2. Each team is given one state vote and national vote. Each vote allows for you to vote for the top ten
teams in your respective state and age division plus unlimited honorable mention teams. The national vote
allows for each team to pick the top ten teams in the country plus unlimited honorable mention teams.
3. State polls are always open.
4. State polls are posted on Tuesday at 10PM Mountain Time.
5. National Polls are open Tuesday at 10PM Mountain Time and posted on Friday.
6. The top 8 teams in each state vote, qualify for the
national polls on Tuesday. All members may vote at the
national level.
7. Votes are tabulated with a points system.
1st - 15
2nd - 13
3rd - 12
4th - 10
5th - 9
6th - 8
7th - 7
8th - 6
9th - 5
10th - 3
HM - 1
You may vote for an unlimited number of honorable mention teams.
Record posted on the site = 15 points
Points awarded for the difference between wins and losses.
8. Total points are tabulated and computer figures rankings by
total points received for each team.
9. Criteria in which teams will vote.
A. History of team
B. Head to head competition
C. Championships won at various sanctioning bodies
D. Current records
All information posted on the site is to be accurate and up-to-date
within 1 week of the date of completion. Any incorrect information
posted by teams are to be identified to USA by emails or phone calls
from coaches. Intentional inaccurate information will be handled
on an individual basis by USA staff.
10. Validity of state and national polls occurs when teams are
active on the site posting information to promote their programs,
and coaches in each state are actively voting each week.
